Kind of new to knives, looking to start a neat little collection. Was looking around on the for sale forums here for a good knife but everyone's faster and knows the ropes here more than I do so any knife I see gets snatched up too quick. Any recommendations?

Buck Vantage Avid has great steel, and you'll have a reliable flipper. You do need to use your wrist a bit, if you'd also like Kershaw has many flippers that assist in opening.

so, your title says good edc flipper greater than $40? I'm assuming you mean under $40...... :p

I'd go with Kershaw flipper. They give you really good knife for the $$. Clash, Cryo and Brawler are some really good choices.

I, too, assume you mean <$40. :)

The Cryo and the Ripple are both excellent knives. The Cryo is assisted, the Ripple isn't. I have both and like both.

The CRKT Eros should also be in the mix. It's a sweet looking knife, though I don't have one.

If you look around a little bit, you can also find a Kershaw Leek in that same price range, and the Leek is an awesome knife. I think I have four of them.

Thanks for all the replies guys! And yeah I was thinking for a second which way the sign should be pointing lol, I've heard of most of these knives and I'll look into them, if I had to pick two of the top of my head I'd like the ripple or skyline.

Factory seconds basically. Minor cosmetic flaws that don't pass QC. No functional problems.
