Good EDC? opinions.

Wow i really appreciate that. i can't believe a complete stranger would do that.
Doza,
My wife and I also have a tendency to pick up meal tabs for service people and their families in restaurants if they're in uniform. O4 and above can pay their own way though :p
Enjoy the knife!

I really appreciate that. I'm an E-4 a-ganger not many people would know what that means so you can kind of get the feeling that I'm being legit. i wish i could really prove to you I'm in the military.

As an ex USN corpsman, I'd like to say thanks for your service also. I recently won a give away in the Knife Rights drawing. If you think a Spyderco Manix 2, partially serrated will do the trick, send me your shipping info and it will be on it's way to you. It's new in box, same knife as in the pic but with a partially serrated edge.

Honestly their are great knives out their. I love carrying my autos, ZT's, Striders and such. But some of my favorites that you can get for under $100 on Ebay or web sites is Kershaw. The Junkyard Dog or Rake and others depending on assisted or not, is awsome. They have the sandvick/ cpm d2 combo blades that look cool with the copper lining and at the same time they are desighned to be strong like a folded blade. Plus the Junkyard Dog has a seriously smooth action for being a standard no assist knife. They have tough G-10 as well as copper washers. Honestly they are made to withstand anything and they are a great price.

Yet another example of why Blade Forums is such a great place. Manix 2 is a great knife. Kudos to stevekolt for his generosity.

great. i can send you some of my boat memorabilia as a token of appreciation and proof of my military participation.

WOW this is what a brother/sisterhood is all about way to go guys I love seeing acts of generosity like this Stay safe Doza and pay it forward

That's amazing generosity stevekolt.
Thank you for serving out great country doza!
god bless, stay safe.

How about a multitool like a Leatherman wave and a Sharpmaker to keep it sharp. It has a good steel blade cpm154.

Wow i really appreciate that. i can't believe a complete stranger would do that.

Steve is a good guy to help out a serviceman. And Doza, I appreciate what you're doing for our country.

Hey steve, yes i did receive it and love it. This is what i was looking for (I've been researching it on the net). i can't thank you enough. i will start working on getting your things together as well. god bless

Hey all,
im in the us navy in the submarine force and I'm constantly goin through cheap ass knives. i really need a good edc that will cost me at the most $100. i want something real dependable and will hold its edge for a long ass time. and i recently got ripped off by those fake microtechs, so i decided to get some extra opinions before i made another bad decision. thanks
V/R doza

Unreal Steve, good job man!

I was gonna say though, cheap and quality never really go together. Especially if your in service a quality knife could very well save your life one day.. I would say go for a Zero Tolerance, spend 250$ and you'll thank yourself in the end. and the Spyderco steve sent you can be your daily backup !
