Good electrical reference

In my time on this forum I frequently see requests for electrical and wiring help on all types of equipment. As a practicing Electrical Engineer designing and working with industrial controls and power, I see many of the same types of questions. I have found this handbook to be an invaluable pocket guide and it will answer probably 90% of the questions I have seen on this forum...

This is updated every 3 years in lockstep with the National Electric Code, and obviously 2008 is the most recent. If you find an old copy, keep it, as most of the stuff we use everyday does not change. I do recommend the new version this year, however, as the requirements for household wiring have a major change...requiring arc fault circuit breakers for all new construction. :barf:
