To some unsuspecting newbie that may find this thread.Do a search on Botach before making your decision to do business with Botach.While I have no doubt in these members good experiences,there are far more complaints in this forum about this company than good.In addition they have a bad rating with the BBB.
"Order with complete confidence" Sorry,I would have to disagree with you on that point.Potential customer be warned.

Hey guys! Be super careful dealing with Botach Tactical. They have some prior screwups with some of the forumites a few months ago that were way up in the hundreds of dollars! It takes quite a bit to get a poor rating from the BBB, I would take that under advisement before buying from Botach!

I would agree, somewhat, with TOMBSTONE and knifenut43. Their advice is exactly what I did, and after reading about Botach's spotty reputation here I was somewhat hesitant to purchase.
However their prices made it worth a risk, to me.
Definetly call to confirm availability before placing an order.

I ordered an item in mid-April over their secure website. Within ten minutes they called me to let me know that they did not have the item. Turns out that the manufacturer (Spyderco) never manufactured the particular item and so it would never be available (I checked with Spyderco). I cancelled the order (verbally). They sent me a confirming email that said the same. Well they charged my credit card anyway. After 7 phone calls to seven completely indifferent individuals over a period of 6 weeks, I finally got a guy that spent 45 minutes on the phone getting the thing worked out. I finally got credit to my account last week. Was it worth it? No. I wouldn't bother. Since I found Bladeforum, I found that I can get 90% of the knives I want on the sale/trade forum in mint condition, at lower prices, from generally responsible individuals, not a sweatshop full of persons with the attitude of prisoners.

Even if you confirm availability with Botach it is no guarantee that you'll get the item.

The item that I ordered once was available.....and 3-4 months later, about 20 phone calls, and a direct legal threat, I finally got my $275 credited back to my VISA. They charged my card on the day I ordered...knowing well that the item was not in stock.

On top of everything else...they flat out lied about the item in question.....I know, I called the manufacturer....Botach had no orders pending.

It is trully worth the extra $$ to go elsewhere rather than mess with the one arm bandit company called Botach.

Yes I did buy from them and had good luck it seems to me most of the problems stem around them having employe problems more than just cheating the customer I am having problems with a well known dealer that addertises here on bladeforums that I can not get my return credited to my account.Does that make him bad also or is it just one of those times where there is a mix up I don't know.

I had a mixed experience with Botach. The details are in this thread. Unfortunately I hadn't read any of the horror stories before I placed my order. I did eventually get more or less what I ordered , but I doubt I'll order from them again.
