Just a quick post. Stopped at an Antique Store, after a visit for recurring back problems. I spotted a SAS Dagger, the owner told me the previous owner purchased it at the PX during the Vietnam War. Looked it over, no made in China. On the hilt was written ENGLAND, on the nut (?) was the number 4. The handle appears to be made of brass, the blade stainless steel (?), appears to have been painted black. Overall, it looks nice, except that the previous owner attempted sharpening it. The tip is slightly blunt, the blade is nice & still holds a good edge after all these years. From the research I did, it appears to be a Type 3. I wish I would have taken pictures. It didn't come with a sheath, oh well. For now, I plan on keeping it is. It has that been there, done that.
