I have yet to complete a knife, but have three knives in process. The first is a skinner and the second two are paring knives. I chose these knives because of material that I had readily available. As of yet I haven't spent any money on materaials. What is a good knife design to make repetatively for practice? I'm looking for one that is realatively easy to make but that will force me to develop sound knifemaking skills.

Thanks. My first knife is actually a drop point skinner. I started out with the intentions of hollow grinding the blade but after a few minutes of butchering decided to go with a flat grind for this one. I stand a better chance of ending up with a useable knife! Hope to be able to post some pictures soon.
