I have been considering a spyderco for a while now and am finally up to getting one. I was thinking the police or endura 4. If anybody has any suggestions leave a comment.

The Endura is the only one I've had and I love it. I'm sure the Police is a great knife, though. Spyderco doesn't make junk. Go Red Sox!!!

I'd start with the Endura. It's less expensive and due to size more sheeple friendly.

endura is a pretty good choice for a first spyderco, though if you dont mind spending more, the police 3 and military are good choices as well. the police 3 is my favorite out of all of them.

I would go for a Sage if you want a 3" blade, it cannot be beat on quality and price: for around 100$ you get a killer FFG blade in S30V and probably the best CF scales made by Spyderco.
If you can afford it, and want a bigger blade, then definitely a Manix, one of the top Spydercos ever.

i got a pacific salt as my first, cuz i work and fish in salt water. the knife gets wet by saltwater every day. if i was getting one for non salty environments, i would be all over the police g10. btw, the pacific salt is an amazing knife. not the slightest hint of rust, i have even had salt crystals build up on the blade from continuous wetting, but never any rust. its easy to sharpen and holds an edge pretty good. spydercos are awesome, for me anyway, cuz nearly all are 100% lefty friendly.

You cant go wrong with the endura. Get used to it's size and then handle a police. I thought I would love the police but I really couldn't get used to it's size. It's a great knife but not for everyone. The Endura however is an extremely useful knife that is sized just right IMHO.

I always loved the Native. All four versions are great, but I love the regular Native w/ s30v steel. After using the Native for so long I personally think you can beat the hell out of any Spyderco. That said, my experience only goes as far as the Native, but I'm sure the Delica and Endura are great too.

Both are good knives, but it would be easier to advice, if you describe your needs and preferences. Do you really need blade about 4" long, what locks you like, grinds, finger choil or no finger choil. There are many great Spyderco and more are coming.

The Endura's fine, but you wouldn't go wrong with the Cenofante knives, either the four or the three. It's hard to go wrong with Spyderco!

It's hard to go wrong with any of them, but I'll say Endura/Delica as well.

Go Red Sox!

I agree with the Native. Love the S30V. Of course, the Delica is a great choice as well.

Oh, go Yanks! :D

If you want vg-10 then I suggest the g10 endura

If you want s30v then I suggest the military.

Start with the Endura/Delica, or the Pacific Salt/Salt I if you want some bright yellow.

Then progress to something odd, like the D'Allara (disco'd though :( ). After that, jump straight up to the Military, then down to the Para, and finally across to something like the Ladybug or Tasman Salt. :)

You can do all that Mr Josh K has suggested :).
Or just get the Military and then slowly think about the others.
