Good fixed blade knife?

I would get a becker bk-11 and a mora. You did not state what you will be using the knife for but those two together are a pretty good pair.

1. I once read pretty good feedback about the Böker Magnum Camp, which is in budget:

I now notice that it seems to be the same knife as the Becker mentioned above. Perhaps one is a rebranding of the other?

2. I always liked the look of the Gerber Profile, and it did seem sturdy when I held it. However, I have no idea how it performs at its price level:

3. However, unless you really need a black blade (and which civilian does?), I would rather buy a recent Mora 2010 model, for example the Mora Bushcraft Forest;

That is definitely a rip off of the Becker BK-2 and not the other way around. Boker should just drop their Magnum line of cheap knives.

Nowadays you have to be able to cover most price points if you want to stay competitive.

I kind of like the shape of the blade on the Boker though. A little less chunky looking than the BK2.

The problem I have with the Becker's is the handles. I love each and every one of the designs, but having handled them all, I just can't get past the big handle scales. It just doesn't feel right in my hand.

So for a while now I've wanted a good looking fixed blade knife. I really like a dark blade and earthy colored handle, like the ESEE 5. I even like bone or wood for the handle. The problem is, I can only spend like $50 max on a good knife
You could look for a Ka-Bar with "Desert Tan" handles and sheath. With a bit of searching they can be found for $50 or just a bit more.
