As I am still pretty new to this, I think I am quite a long way off from making my own folders, but I was wondering if anyone knows of, or could write, a good folder tutorial. I have taken apart a few in my day, and I feel like I have a decent understanding of the design of most liner-locks. Problem is, I HATE liner locks. I would like to someday build a solid lockback folder, with the rocker bar in the back of the handle that unlocks the blade. As always, your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Jim, that's perfect. You know I googled the hell out of it, but I didn't find that one. I really appreciate it.

You are more than welcome.

You may not thank me when you delve into this project. Folders are cool but need to be very precise. With that said, have a great time as they are very satisfying to make.

Welcome to the forum!

I seem to remember a very indepth thread that Kit Carson did on making folders.
