Good folder under 3 inch?

Kershaw Skyline. Can be had for under 40 bucks easy just about anywhere and even some Walmarts. Great edc with a quick deploying flipper, decent steel, G10 scales, and super light weight.

I second this, but only if you can live with a blade that is a hair over 3" long. It's made in the USA as well.

Kershaw "Needs Work"

Just grabbed one off eBay to evaluate the ergonomics for a design of our own, as I'm a Wharncliffe groupie, so to speak.

Snatched it up for $22.45, including shipping, so you can definitely get a lot of blade for your money if you shop around.

Good luck and take care,

Taylor

I'll second the Dragonfly. If you can find it under 40 that is. I suggest also the Spyderco Kiwi slipit. I can't remember if the BM 530 is under 3in, but it's very slim and low-profile.

I have 3 of 'em and love them - they combine shipping on fleabay.

Victorinox Alox Pioneer and Farmer. I've got one of each sitting in front of me and they're fantastic EDC knives. Two handed openeing, though, since they're slipjoints.

Pioneer cost me under 20$, farmer cost me 26$.

The leek is also a great option. Very elegant, slim little blade.

Below I have suggested several knives from some of the better manufacturers that should all meet your price point and requirements. Personally I prefer the Buck Bantam, Bucklite Max, and Vantage models but that is mainly because they are the only knives I listed that I can easily obtain locally at a brick and mortar store.

Boker Plus Trance (I'd suggest you check out all the Boker Plus line)

From Buck:
The Bucklite Max small

Bantam BBW (no clip on the sub 3inch bantam)

Vantage This is just one example they make it with different steels and handles

Spyderco/Byrd: Meadowlark (but the entire Byrd line is worth looking at)

kershaw scallion or leak. the sog flash i/ii are absolute JUNK, dont even bother unless you like loose blades......here's why not to buy

http://www.youtube.com/user/johniac7078?feature=mhum#p/u/6/M0c9PeQI_4o

The flash i/ii are knives you either love or hate. There quality is certainly a little low but I can't stand small folders that ride 1/3 out of the pocket. Sogs pocket clip is IMO awesome (after a little loc-tite)

While blade wiggle exists, I think it has more to do with people opening and closing their knives 1000 times a day while watching TV or something. Its a light duty assisted opener and while its fun to play with, they do wear fast.

I have carried mine for like 3-4 years, when it breaks I will buy another.
