I walked into our local antique store today with a trade offer and I think I got the better end of the deal:
I traded three WI waggon wheels with the wooden spokes and hubs (I had four but cut up one to get the WI but didn't need the others) for a 1/4 hp Baldor buffer and an Oswego Tool Co Vise.
I don't know much about the vise other than it is HEAVY... at least 100 pounds. I plan to use it as a post vise until I get one.
I kinda fealt bad about cutting up the other waggon wheels so I hope they go to someone who appreciates them for what they are. Here are the wheels
I also got three books in the mail yesterday from a customer who is cleaning out his "junk". They are: The Modern Blacksmith, The Village Blacksmith, and The Making of Tools. All looked brand new
