Good Insoles For Boots?

Align footbeds sold at ski shops. Two years till I cracked a pair and that was wearing them on many hunts includeing heavy pack work in new mexico, alaska and asia humping up to 16000 ft . I also wear them in my sneakers and have beat the hell out of them jumping rope

I've been using Superfeet (blue) for the past few years in my work and hiking shoes. A noticeable improvement on the soles found in most shoes.

Here's another big +1 for Superfeet. I've done thousands of miles in them (CDT, AT, PCT x2) and when I feel the heel pain is the best signal that it's time for a new pair. I've tried Sorbothanes but found them heavy, clumsy, soggy, and not as comfortable underfoot as I expected them to be. Odd, because they sure are cushy in your hand.

The recommendations for custom orthotics are good too. They can be surprisingly affordable.

New Balance makes the best inserts Ive found yet. I have heel spurs and had expensive orthopedics made. That was money down the drain.

Those Danner plastic orthotics are WONDERFUL! They last forever, or close to it... I'm still using a pair I got in 1986.

For soft inserts, Superfeet are worth the $$$. I also like a set of $12 Doctor Scholls foam heel inserts I picked up at the pharmacy. They go under the heel and instep and are split up the middle. They cradle your heel and keep it in place in the shoe.

I walk six hours a day at work (I'm a mailman). I have some type of Sorbethane, foam or hard inserts in all my shoes and boots. They help.

I tried the superfeet, a few years ago, and they made my feet hurt. Did I wear them to long, to start with?
