good iphone 4s case?

For me Lifeproof is the only way to go. Very rugged and does not change the size of the phone much at all.Sound is ok or very good when you think about the fact that it is totally water proof.

OH be sure you get a real Lifeproof. There are tons of fakes out there. Co worker got two fakes (ebay) and my BIL got two fakes. They are very hard to tell they are fake. The guy at Lifeproof even said that a couple of these ripoffs are so good that the only way they can tell is by the ser # or taking out the speaker membranes and closely examining them. The fakes look just like the real ones but the membranes are not the same and you can not hear well with them but the worst is the outgoing sound,it is horrible. All the fakes ones that they called me using had such muffled, echo, talking into a can sound that I could not understand anything they were saying.

So i bought 2 life proofs a green and orange one at walmart.. i also got 2 otterbox defenders and idk what one i want to keep and what one to send back, i hear that the lifeproof is harder to use but i find that the otterbox desensitizes the screen a lot more then the life proof does. the only thing is 2 lifeproofs is expensive and 2 otterboxes is less then 1 lifeproof.

I thought the Defender was OK but waterproof is a must for me.

I really doubt i need waterproof im more worried about overall durability and i want it to last me until i get another phone witch wont be for nearly 2 years. It would be worth it for 80$ if its gonna last because i hear that the otterboxes silicone stretches out and wears out, that and the otterbox lets dirt and shit inside the phone because camera is open. Im just worried about the durability of life proof, it just seems like 2 peaces of plastic to me.

I have seen some amazing videos of them testing the Lifeproof. I have dropped mine from about 3 feet with it landing flat of its back with no damage. I had it on my phone for about a month before taking it off the first time. The phone looked mint with no dust or anything inside the case. That is saying something as I am a Animal Control Officer and get into a good bit of mess and I also carry my phone in the cargo pocket of my BDUs.

Take a look at Rokform. Had mine for two years and it is awesome. Accessories are great too for active lifestyles.

I'm not very satisfied with the lifeproof for its cost and the otterbox is just terrible, guess I'll be returning and looking elsewhere

THIS! I also have the Otterbox Armour for when I know I will be out of the office in terrible conditions. I definitely wouldn't daily that thing though!

the thing with my phone is that it doesnt really get wet it just gets dropped onto cement.. hard wood and other things from 5-6 feet.

As I mentioned before, I have an SG MAXX on my iPhone. It has survived the concrete floor numerous times.

Plus one from me on this.

I recently upgraded to the iPhone 5 (after my 4's charging port decided it was going to stop working) and was on my way over to pick up yet another Otterbox when I happened upon the Ballistic case. Opened one up, took a look and I was sold. As Mike mentioned, its drop protection is excellent and it doesn't add much bulk to the phone.

I've never been a fan of the thick screen protectors that come with these ruggedized cases so I always pull them off and protect the screen with a film protector. It obviously defeats some of the case's splash resistance, but like SNG, I need drop and dust protection more so than water protection - and I like my screen to be as clear and crisp as possible.

Along those lines, it's worth pointing out that not all film screen protectors are manufactured the same way. I saw one complaint about the film screen protector making images on the screen less sharp. Typically that's a problem with protectors that are optimized to reduce glare. Try one that's advertised as being "crystal clear" or similar and you should be able to enjoy the screen's full resolution.

Further along those lines, I see that Lifeproof now has a case they call the 'nuud' that apparently has full waterproof protection without any screen protector.

Gumdrop Drop Tech is an extremely durable case its similar to the otterbox but looks much better :)

im trying out a survivor case right now, my gf saw a purple one and wanted it so i decided id try it too.

Magpul case with spigen glass.t screen protector. I cannot stand the bulky was of the otter box type cases, nor the headphone adapters for the life proof.

^^Was just gonna say Magpul, tidy effective and inexpensive. Get one tan and one orange.
