Good knife experience

knives aren't supposed to be sharp? I thought they were..

It is sort of a downward spiral/viscous circle isn't it? The hardest most badasstardly users use their knives so feverishly that they dull quickly, and they are such hard workers that they lack the time to sharpen their blades...thus they are destined to scoff those that do as they add even more workload to their burden as they toil with their dull tools.

I say this in jest, of course. He is really a nice guy and I think it was his way of calling me a show off. It is the sort of comment I would expect from him (he is a roughneck construction worker, and I sit at a desk).

I got a laugh out of that one. My amigos can't sharpen a knife to save their lives. I am in construction as well, and regardless of the knife, it can be dulled in a few minutes depending on the task.

So my buddies think their job is to catch me with a dull knife in my pocket. I have several EDC work knives, so they gladly share "my positive knife experience" with me by borrowing my knives as needed, since you couldn't cut soft butter with theirs.

Now what made me laugh about that is when I go meet with these guys, I ALWAYS make sure I have a very sharp knife in my pocket. There would be no end of grief I would get if they found a dull one on me.
