Good knife for 20 bucks?

Cold Steel Roach Belly, Canadian Belt Knife or Finn Bear, Buck Smidgen, Case Sodbuster or Opinel.

you could get a M-tech twist for around 20$, i would stay away from all other mtech products though. why the exception, its a semi decent little ballisong.

I still can't believe the value this knife represents, but I just purchased a Kershaw "Needs Work" for $16.50 + shipping, which came out to be right at $20.00.

I've heard lots of great things about this folder and wanted to check it out for myself, as I'm trying to finalize a frame lock design with a Wharncliffe blade and was curious about the ergonomics.

It's a great knife for the money, but as a lot of reviewers before me have noted, it would benefit highly from about a .5" more handle. Other than that, it's a great EDC.

Run a search on eBay for "Kershaw Needs Work", and you'll quickly find numerous auctions trending for a sub $20 max bid.

Good luck and regardless of your choice, I love that you're putting one more cutting tool in circulation!

Stay safe, be prepared and have the happiest of holidays possible,

Taylor

Kershaw Chill ... can be had for $16 plus shipping, and the blade runs Rc58-59. Light, skinny, well made for $16.

Spyderco Tenacious for $28-$30... skip a couple six packs or a couple cups of coffee and splurge for the $30.

Go to your local Wally-world and buy a Buck Vantage the 20 dollar model. :D
Its a good knife; I love mine.

+1 The vantage selects are amazing values!!! extremely smooth action...completely solid lockup, nice steel for the money, and they're made in the U.S. unlike alot of other $20 knives.

You two guys beat me to it..... Buck Vantage select, who would have thought a $20, American made knife, in this day and age?? It is a great "cheap" knife and is no slouch, in the performance department! Regards, Steve

x5 on the vantage select
or I'm happy with my crkt desert cruiser and crkt folding razel off that auction site.

It's nice to see another advocate of the "Needs Work" I carry mine pretty much every day, and have yet to find anything that I don't like about it. For me it's a great work knife. :D

I'm not much of a Gerber fan but the Harsey Air Ranger is a great knife if you don't mind their mystery steel. Great Harsey lines, and SOLID as a rock. You can find them pretty cheap.
And I'll agree with some of the others, the Ontario R.A.T. is a sweet knife. I got two of them, LNIB, for about $30.00 on eBay. Keep your searches running.
