I’m on a road trip out west and looking to pick up a few knives for gifts for family back home. So far All I’ve seen is the usual tourists traps that sell your generic knives etc etc. I’d prefer a simple fixed blade that’s hand made out here and would be willing to spend a bit more for that.

Any ideas of any shops or knife makers? I’m in Chadron Nebraska now and heading down towards Colorado. We don’t have a real schedule or anything so if you know of something close by Colorado or anywhere out west I’ll see if I can get there.

Thanks, Brad...

My wife and I went to college in Golden, CO. We actually went to the Spyderco outlet on a date after dinner ( a loooong time ago) when it was across from Mannie and Bo's, and she ended up with a knife. (Many) Years later we visited again, hit the outlet in the new location with kids in tow, and I ended up with a Manix and she got a Delica. Win -- win. :)

Enjoy the journey. :-)

Spyderco it is! Thanks guys. I hadn’t even thought about Spyderco while I’m out here even though I’ve wantwd one for sometime now and here I am 4.5 hours away so everything should work out.
