I'm here in Phoenix, for a bit, and I was wondering if there are any knife shops around. I'd go pay D'Holder a visit, but I can't afford one of his knives right now, and I can't bear to go there if I can't get something.

thanks in advance

There was a store called Arizona Knife Source but they either moved or closed down. Their prices were not as good as mail order or gun shows but for a retail store they were good. The only places I know of are mall stores and surplus stores and those places are expensive. The best place to get knives here is Walmart IMO if you want more "conventional" knives.

There is a place called Extreme Books on Bell and Cave Creek which is mainly a bookstore but also carries some cheap knives but also has switchblades if that interests you and they do occasionally have second hand knives that are out of production and once they even had a Criswell Wakizashi. Gun Shows are often the best places to get knives but the next one is about a month away IIRC.

Try Classic Guns and Knives - They have a web presence besides a nice store. They stock lots of had-to-get customs and other types of knives, very worth a visit.

I was working in Phoenix this past week. I went by Classic Guns and Knives just to check it out. This place has really spun my head. The people are great and the knives they have might make you cry. Please don't even get me started on the guns.

I was hoping to find a good knife shop while I was visiting Phoenix and referred to this thread. I went to Classic Guns and Knives and it was closed and gone. Don't bother..it's gone.
I also went to Legendary Guns of the West because they are an authorized premium Benchmade dealer and they had a very small Benchmade display, nothing else. The guy I spoke to said the knife stores in town have closed and he doesn't know of a good knife selection in town. Great place to get a Colt SAA though! Lot's of authentic high quality cowboy guns here. Nice people too!

Trust me when I say penchetta pen and knife in scottsdale! Awesome selection. Flexible on price and genuinely awesome guys. I can never go in with out hanging out for atleast an hour just shootin the poop

There's also monkey edge in mesa if your looking for high end stuff and don't mind the drive. Another fun store to hang at

Penchetta is a neat little store. I got my LionSteel there right before X-mas. Pretty good selection of LionSteel, ZT , Benchmade, Kershaw and others. My son brought him a Dillon Precision calendar......:)

Amazing place. I wish I had found it last week. Thanks for the great suggestion.
