Good knife under 75

You can get the code 4 in spear point or tanto or clip point. So whatever you prefer you can get.

I just picked up a code 4 from Blade HQ this week. It is really something. Lockup feels every bit as solid as my CRKs and Hinderers... even more solid actually. I usually don't like tantos but chose the tanto on this one. CTS-XHP is great steel. I reprofiled the edge and boy did it take a razor edge. Lock is tough to release but I can live with it. It is amazingly thin and rides like nothing in the pocket. I wanted a budget folder to carry for tough work and this knife really shines above everything else at that price, esp if you find spydercos ugly like me.

Another vote for the Kershaw Link. One of the best knives under $50 shipped I have seen and it is made in the USA!

Another one is the Cold Steel Finn Wolf. Scandi grind and probably the sharpest knife, right out of the box, that I have. You can probably find it for under $40.

Spyderco Centofante 3. Excellent knife; it's super light weight, you won't even notice it in your pocket. Feels great in the hand. I use to carry it everywhere. It's retired now.

Ontario rat 1 and rat 2 will cost $60 combined. Or you can do the Link (black GRN) and rat 2 For about $65 combined. Then you'll have some Verasility. If you like the spyderco feel and deployment, you can do a Tenacious for the larger knife and rat 2 and still probably come in right at your budget. I will also say that if you like the grippy G10 feel of your old paramilitary, stay away from aluminum scales (code 4, aluminum Link). If you go to $85..no brainer... Cold steel American lawman in CTS-XHP

Best knife money can buy for real world edc IMO is Salt H1 Dragonfly SE. Just cant beat it for usable sized edge, serrations go through most anything, easy to shapren and holds a edge like magic.
