Becker BK11

Kershaw JYD II (especially with a composite blade)

I am currently awaiting a Becker BK-2 and a Buck 113, both new stock, for ~$103 shipped. You can also find an ESEE-3 or -4 for $90 delivered on evil-bay - and spend the rest at WallyWorld on a Buck 110. If you can spend ~50% more, you could get a hand-made - in South Africa - Arno Bernard 'Wild Dog', like mine below. It'll have N690 Bohler steel in a full, but tapered, tang, with a cape buffalo sheath, and spalted maple grip. Substitute giraffe bone, if you want - same price. Find A.B.'s US source in Florida.

Yeah, I know - you have to draw your line, expense-wise, somewhere... else someone would say, "For just three times your limit, you could have a new CRK small plain Sebenza!". "A man's gotta know his limitations!"
