Good large-medium size fixed blade?

Go with one of my favorite makers, ML knives by Matt Lesniewski, take a look at his web site, the hunters have been lately catching my eyes or his Kepharts.

I would be open to recommendations outside of these knives, or why I should choose one of those knives over the other.
My budget is around $300...I dont think I want to go into customs, but I might look into it.

A very nice choice around $300, is the Fällkniven NL5 Idun!
