I'm thinking about making leather sheaths for two knives that I just finished, but I don't have a clue where to start or what I really need. Can someone recommend a good DVD or book to learn from? Thanks!

Perhaps THE BEST video I've ever watched related to knifemaking would be the Center Cross Instructional Video by Chuck Burrows (Wild Rose). It's a two-part DVD, a bit pricey, but very much worth it.

My skills improved 200% just from watching the video. Well, maybe I should say my techniques improved; my skill is still being worked on :D. Chuck is a natural teacher and very easy to understand and follow. Not to mention he's extremely gifted.

HERE is the video over at Tracy's place. He's got it on sale right now as well.

I have, and appreciate, Chuck's DVD.

Are there any other sheath making DVDs and books?

I was wondering the same thing for when it came time for me to make a sheath. Looks like Chucks is the way to go.

Thanks for the recommendation guys! Looks like I'll be buying the Chuck Burrows video from Tracy. Thanks again!

I have ordered that from Tracy recently (today). I'm sure it's worth the money..

+1 on the Chuck Burrows video set.

Chuck Burrow's DVD is by far the best instruction on leather work that I have seen ,bar none !

When I go on the Sheaths and Such forum and see all the amazing and different style sheaths I just marvel and drool.

I agree about Chuck's Sheath Making DVD and its inordinate value.

Never-the-less, I continue to ask if there are other published books and DVDs on sheath making? I haven't found them if there are.

I understand there are volumes on leather crafting, but I specifically want sheath making info.

Chuck's is great...are there others too??????
