Good lock-back for the $$$ ???

Not at all traditional so my apologies in advance but the Spyderco Manix is one of the best lockbacks I can imagine. a bit pricier than some but you won't bust it (I can't vouch for your ability to lose it though)

Ropey Dope.... salt in the wound huh.... you made me laugh when I really needed it. Thanks for the advise. :) :) :)

A little more than 50 dollars (79.95@ knifeworks.com) but the Buck limited edition mini-folding hunter is a real beauty with ironwood scales.

Off the top of my head...I would go with the Queen Mountain Man.
Lakota and the Al Mar Hawk or Eagle could also fit the bill, both are produced by Moki and will not disappoint. I'd also throw in some Puma knives in that price range and the new Benchmade NRA lockback by Ken Steigerwalt. You'll pay a bit more than $50 for an Al Mar Eagle. I think the new Benchmade may be up your alley, but honestly you can't go wrong with the Queen D2 knives. This is going to be a battle of style vs. price. I suggest you check out www.knifecenter.com for their list of lockbacks (over 20 pages)., then try to find what you want at the best possible price. Knifecenters prices are O.K., but their customer service is excellent. My .02

I'll go out on a limb and say that the only knife that will meet all of your requirements is the Buck 110. The Queen Mountain Man comes close but it is no where near as robust as a 110.

Maybe you would consider spending a couple dollars more and getting the Cabela's Buck 110 with an S30v blade.

At $60 it is an impossible knife to beat and IMO by far the best "bang for the buck" folder going right now.

See it here.
