  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Good lord help me. I'm still looking at CRK...

Is the blade too long to carry legally? It's a flipper, correct?

I can't legally carry it, though! Like hell am I going to keep a knife worth that much if I'm not going to carry and use it, and similarly there is no way I'm going to carry that knife at the risk of being fined or jailed.

...I tried the Umnumzaan. Didn't really light my fire. The thumbstuds were too hard to access and the blade shape was a little too aggressive. So, I sold that, but, I still want a CRK.

Which one?

Large Carbon Fiber Insingo.

It costs TOO MUCH.

And I want it SO BAD.

Should I just get it? I mean, it's an exclusive and all so it'll be impossible to find later. It's got the blade profile I want and everything... But I can basically never bring myself to pay full retail price for a knife. Ugghhh.

You're gonna be the dadgum reason I end up with a Sebenza.

Ya bunch if freakin hippies!

Denver isn't nearly as bad as Boulder.

Buncha whiny upper-class granola trust-fund pansies in that town.

There are some people with some quality blades around here, though - much better than Tulsa. I've met two different police officers carrying Spyderco knives (one Yojimbo II, one Paramilitary II), I met two people at my old job that carried Benchmade knives, my neighbor has a PM2, and I sold my Benchmade 851 to my roommate for $100 and he carries it everywhere every day. Some guy I was walking by a few days ago had a Triage (or some other orange-handled split-arrow-clip knife with a glassbreaker)

You bought it, didn't you?;)

You know it. I found it NIB on a different forum for $60 less than retail. That's not so great of a deal that I can resell it at any kind of considerable profit, but good enough of a deal that I don't feel like a chump. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't find it cheaper than that because I would be so tempted to sell it for something else...

I've been talking myself out of this one for a long time now.....

Don't wait so long that it becomes unavailable! Exclusives are exclusives... That's what put me over the edge on the Large CF Insingo. I know that if I got the Micarta one, I'd keep longingly checking the CF one and wishing I had just gone for the little bit extra.

Tilt, Tilt? This thread didn't really interest me until I heard "sell my Tilt". My 60th birthday is Wednesday and the wife said get any knife I want. Comeuppance, I want your Tilt.
PM sent amigo. kevin

There's a Tilt on an auction site right now, starting bid 2000 dollars, tell her you want that one!

What is everyone fascination with the tilt? It has zero appeal on me and if I'm going to spend $1000-$2000 on a knife id rather get something 100% custom to me.

It is hard to look away from the Reeve knives though. I keep trying to convince myself to sell my 0560 and 0561 and get a large sebenza but I would always be worried about losing it.

The TiLT is a bearing framelock flipper with a Vanax 75 edge and a wharncliffe blade profile. Aside from being extremely rare, it is renowned for having amazing flipping and pivot action and being very comfortable to use.

Aye, honestly, I wouldn't have purchased it if I had to pay anything close to $1000. That would put me squarely in the Demko AD-10 secondary market price range, and I would just have snagged one of those. Or an 888, for that matter.

They are very unique, the way they fit your hand, the blade shape and they are also very scarce. I didn't even pay 300 each for both of mine. I agree they aren't worth the change they go for these days, but when you own them it sure doesn't disappoint!

I'm happy that you got it. Going thru something like this is SO MUCH ANGST that it makes one weak enough to demand a beer.
Even me, and YOU got the folder. Good news. Happy. Let us see pics soonest.
