Everytime an old Assiniboine freind of mine talk first thing we cover is which bodily systems have failed and need work and which are on the blink. It's amazing to me how much the body can heal, even with medical science sometimes getting in the way, sometimes helping. He has news eyes lens inside and can shoot pistol again, while my vision is doubled.
One thing for sure though, is three out of the last four times I went under, I awoke feeling like they'd blown bits of me into space and would require weeks to reassemble all the mental parts together again. I hate that. One anesthesiologist did it right and the rest just slathered me over with too darn much.
My old Man said of all this was true, but asked; are you still here? Was it worth it? Yeah, it was and is. Here's always wishing you the very best Old Yvsa.
