Good Map Series?

I don't religiously keep too many survival supplies in the car, but one thing I do is a copy of The Roads of Texas.
It is extremely detailed and large (small?) scale.
Here is a link the to rest of the series:

I also have Colorado and New Mexico (hold on now....there's a NEW Mexico?).
The series is a bit limited, anybody know of some good ones for other areas of the world?

I keep a Delorme atlas of my state and adjoining states in my vehicle all the time. I find them interesting to look up things like the name of a creek that I just crossed, find back roads, find ways around a huge traffic jam out in the boonies, state park locations, and the list goes on and on. I like them a lot. Sometimes I wish they were more detailed, but I have their topos too. Topo USA is not bad, but the individual state CD's are absolutely great if you are willing to pay the price (around $100 per state). These are the original USGS 1:24,000 topos. These can be viewed easily on a laptop computer, not that I'm too interested in carrying a laptop computer out in the woods. For most things, Topo USA is just fine.

The Shearer Publishing stuff is much better than the DeLorme.
the Colorado and New Mexico editions have topo data.
There is more detail than I can easily describe, ponds, pipelines, transmission lines, cemetaries, radio towers. It is almost as detailed as USGS quads. You could use these to take off cross country.

I have Topo USA and a Garmin 76CSx, but I like the paper maps better. I have seen some inacuracies in Topo USA.
