So the king eschewing any "outside" assistance is the sticky point regarding the return of some Gorkhas? He's afraid of how India would leverage such a debt? Or would want to run the show? Pretty ironic, I would think they'd be formidable indeed, defending their own homeland. Although Ghorkas fighting Nepalis of any stripe would set a new, uncomfortable precedent I guess. What a bloody mess....
