Good news!

I got my two CF Sages for a good amount under $90 actually ;) Regardless, I gotta have just one Ti :)

I'll pick one up, if anything to go with my two Ti millies. Still, double the price. I guess Titanium is just harder to work with.

I agree with your implication though. I suspect there is some new tooling costs to recoup perhaps. Not sure. The fit and finish and action better be as good or better than the last batch of D2 Paras or orange Militarys I got and that will be some BIG shoes to fill ;) Considering the Sage plan is not a "sprint run" so to speak, <$180 is a huge chunk of change for a production knife out of Taiwan. No ding on Taiwan whatsoever but one has to assume the effort to ship the steel or blades from the US to Taiwan for everything else is still primarily to save MFG costs yet it still ends up with almost $180 street, per knife, in the end . . .

And yes, they are exactly double what I paid for my CF Sages @ $85.00

OK - just ordered two of them. One to use and one to use in the future. I am hoping this is on par with a framlock type version of the calypso Jr. style knife. The framlock is what sold me. Alot of $ for two but have confindence they will not disappoint. I have some high expectations and will report once I get them. Ordering early I am hoping to get some numbered versions. They sure look sweet!!
 
What's the grip like ?

Is it slick like the stainless police/endura handles or is there some texture or grip to it ?

The handle felt not coarse, but not smooth either. If I had to lean towards one side, I'd say smooth though. It felt almost like a Zippo with satin finish as a reference.
 
Mine shipped this afternoon. Should have them next week...will post some pics when I have them.
