Good questions, but I can only answer the first one. As some other members of the group can also tell you, while the BCs are indeed the Sgt.'s specialty, Murali has made a few, basically on a dare: last year, he said, "hey, I could make those!", and Khadka (I think) let him take up the challenge, just to see what would happen. I forget how many he made, but they were considered a special series, and were being sold about the time I came on-board.

Good to hear! I don't personally own a Murali piece (yet), but I've heard he does spectacular work. Perhaps when things get less hectic, I'll see if I have the funds together for a BC by him

I have both a Sgt and a Murali BC. Honestly, since the SGt BC is a 22" monster and the Murali is only 15", comparing the two on the chop-o-meter isn't fair. On fit and finish though, The Sgt is just a tiny bit nicer, not huge amounts. I would LOVE to grab a 22" Murali Bone Cutter now so I could do some real head to head comparisons. That would be a hoot!
