I just wanted to give everyone the heads up on a few folks that I met today that are all very professional, courteous, and polite.
1st. Mr. Barr sent me a free pass to attend the show, thank you Sir. I spoke with him for some time about knife design and a couple other things that I can't think of right now.
2nd. I spoke with Mr. Nielson about his knives and etching damascus and stuff. A very nice guy, Good luck with the contest!
3rd. I had a really long talk with Mr. Demko about washers, franelocks, and folder design in general. This guy has done his homework. I'm having him do some work on fold that I have of his, and he he isn't charging me much to put an overlay on it. Thank you, Sir! If anyone has any hesitation about buying one of his knives, or a folding Razel, go for it, you will be pleased, his knives are very sturdy, and he has done his machining homework to make sure his designs are very strong.
edited to add: These certainly aren't the only good people I met, just the ones that I talked to more than others.
I also chatted with Kim Breed a bit, and lots of other nice folks.
edited add again I also stopped by a table and spoke with Bill Keeler of Beaver Bill forging works, and I wanted to say that he is also one heck of a nice guy that makes some nice hawks.
