Good Primary Fixed Blade

For something in the six inch range I'd go with the Fallkniven A-1.
Good steel, and very tough. The only downside is the plain rubber handle.

You also might want to look at the Spyderco Hossom line of fixed blades.
the only real advantage over the Fallkniven is the (very comfortable) micarta handle.
This is the six inch woodlander.

Both of these knives are made of good stainless steel and are designed for bushcraft.

The A1 and the Hossom are terrific knives. The bigger Hossom might be perfect except it is a bit thinner than you get with the Busse kin and Ranger knives.

I am a huge Scrapyard fanatic so I am biased but there should be some DFLE's on the secondary market starting now. S7 is a bit more rust resistant than 52100/sr101 and a good polish slows down rust.

I love the idea of pairing up a Game Warden with a nice bowie and am planning a Swamp Warden DFLE combo myself. Instead of a big knife you could also consider a traditional hawk. My CS Norse Hawk(modded) and Swarden or SS4 is another great combo.

If the chopweiler and DFLE are a bit big how about a HookGuard? They are awesome and one of the only Scrapers to sell for retail on the secondary market. For some reason the 7 inch CampTramp with res c handle is insanely expensive on the secondary market ,if you can find one. While the 7 inch res c handled Hookguard is retail. That is a big differnce for a recurve blade and the hook? There is also different steels,S7 versus 52100
but S7 is a better choice in a big knife. I love the hook. I liked mine better than my Dogfather. The recurve makes cutting and chopping easier and is only hard to sharpen if you use a benchstone. Every other sharpening method works the same.

You could also go with a kukuri from Tora or HI.

marbles trailmaster bowie would be great, if the size isnt too much. yet is carbon steel, so you would have to keep oiled

I would suggest you take a look at the following:
Ranger
Bark River
Fallkniven
Busse

I need a good fix blade to pair up with my game warden size dosnt matter as long as its conftable on a belt. it needs to be

good at Chopping(this is a need)
confoartable in hand(this is a need)
looks good (not very important but always a plus)
VERY dependable (this is a need)
very good steel (also a need)

its going to be a all around utility knife.

I am looking at the swamp rat ratweiler chopper but the steel isn't very good in the catagorie of rust reisestant. besides that i have no idea

$250 max.

:DI'd go with the ZT 0100.Ergonomic Handle,Great Balance + you can't go wrong with the 3V.They're about $250.
