Good production bowie knife - makes?

Another possibility would be a bowie by Mineral Mountain (Ted Frizzell) but they start at around $240, so just over your budget. They are also 5160 steel. I don't know, but Mineral Mountain does offer their bowies with 12" blade. Mine is 10" and to me is still a little heavier & bigger than I would like. Unless you are Karl Malone I think that 9 or 10 is big enough. To each his own, of course.
