Good Production Locking Folders w/Carbon Steel Blades?

^^^^ Very interesting, and thank you for the info..

No problem at all. Verhoeven's book is good. And a free PDF online if you find it interesting. It is like reading High School Chemistry again haha.

Maybe I find it interesting because my High School didn't have a chemistry class lol?

I actually will try and look it up so thank you again.

Opinels are not a bad carbon steel knife

Its not unknown that they can be opened and closed , locked and unlocked one handed .

Sorry , had to do it :)

Yep, I am fully aware of high carbon stainless steels, they can be found in many kitchen knives. Regardless of name, it's performance was still significant compared to the stainless steel on my Tenacious. How would a tool steel, such as M4 on the Gayle Bradley, compare?

It depends on how you have the geometry set. That cheap knife of yours doesn't look to be set at 30 degrees inclusive like most spydercos. I also don't know what all you did with that knife either. You didn't give much information. For me to try to compare the GB to a knife with unknown steel, with unknown geometry, doing unknown tasks is way beyond me. :)
