Good pulaski

Council is your best bet for a new one. You can still find some decent True Tempers on ebay. Just watch out for severely worn toes.

Council's twisted-hoe pulaskis aren't as sturdy as the ones forged without the twist.

The rule with pulaskis is never pry to the side if a bit is stuck. Pulaskis have a narrower eye than a standard double bit axe, 5/8" instaed of 3/4". The lets them snap below the eye very easily.

Thanks. I will probably look around for a true temper

From time to time there are large batches of Pulaskis available here. I’d pick another up but by the time shipping is included you are better off finding one locally if you can.
