I tried few Kershaw Blurs and they seem good for price, what Im looking for is an assisted opener that opens as fast as automatic, just without a button.I have never owned assisted opener , and am hoping if you guys will give me some input on high quality assisted opener .Price range is 0-200$ more or less.Automatics are not legal where I live, otherwise would love to have some Microtechs,Benchmades etc or high quality balisong.I am waiting for Cold Steel Swift to come out, but until then need something to keep my mind occupied LOL.

How about a Kershaw Tactical Bump? Or my fave big assisted opener, the ZT 0300.

Kershaw Spec Bump. My favorite. Blade length is 3.63", it's an assisted opener and a close relative to the ZT 0200. Too bad they stopped making them.

That right there, problem solved...
14c28n is a great basic steel, the small bit of nitrogen added I have found seems to really help it to hold its edge pretty well considering the somewhat lower carbon content (respectively), and you have a few different color options to choose from; if you want "more steel" for the price, then upgrade to the s30v or ELMAX models, both great premium steels and done well by Kershaw.

If you tried and liked 'em, they fit your criteria, and the price is right, then why not get one and then take the remaining budget $ and put towards saving up for something else that you may or may not like quite as much?

I have couple knives in 14c28,steel is not bad and easy to sharpen.I like the blur, especially the new blue version, just wish blade was 4inches.When I handled it its same as automatic, very fast and feels like quality product.

Benchmade barrage with a 3.6" blade.

This is your best option. The build on the Benchmade axis assist is very similar to the Benchmade axis autos. They spring just as fast. Just make sure you hold on tight when you open it. The Kershaw Piston is another good option, but it's just not quite as fast as I think you want.

Ill see what happens,Im definitely buying Cold Steel Swift(love triad lock and cts-xhp).Might get the blue blur too.Have handled Benchmade Barrage long time ago(plastic handle version) and yes,its really fast. How durable are these knives, besides opening letters and boxes, and do these springs brake down often(any input welcome as I have zero experience with it)

I gotta say, I've had a Zero Tolerance 0350 for about 4-5 years and it is an incredible knife. It doesn't quite meet your parameters as it has a 3.25 inch blade but there are plenty of other models.

It has a great flipper that requires just the right amount of pressure, it's spring assisted and it locks up solid every time.
Also, other ZT owners will know that incredible sound of an assisted one opening. It just screams quality. Also has top class steel, G10 handles...it's difficult for me to buy other folders knowing that I have this gem around.

I just got the discontinued Kershaw Tremor in the mail today. It is a great knife! If you look around you can find it close to its original price which makes it a fantastic deal in my eyes.

Benchmade Emissary (They make a 3.5" version now). I picked up the 3" version at Bladeshow and I'm quite impressed with how well sorted out it is.
