Hey Guys

Recently I have been looking for a new watch(wanted a little variation between my nixon). I don't specifically need to it too be super durable as it probably won't see to much hard use. I was thinking about a g-shock but wouldn't know which model to choose. I also like the county comm tritium field watch(and I like the price tag too :P) Any recommendations?

I have a Seiko SKX007J and it is an awesome watch and keeps time real well, simple and I have received many complements on it.

I bought a cheap Timex 1440 Sports because it had big numbers in the LCD display. Took off the wrist straps and ground down the sharp corners with a dremel tool. Use it as a pocketwatch. It's worked remarkably well. ;)

If you want a G-Shock, just choose the one you like. The Citizen Eco-Drives are great watches too.

I don't know if that's a typo or not but it's a TRITIUM field watch, it's not titanium. It's actually a polymer case on that watch.

Still a not a bad piece for a shade over $100 though.

I got g-shock about year ago, and I've had it on every day. I love it!
It's the most comfortable watch I've ever had, and has shown absolutely no sign of weakness sofar.

Something automatic. Seiko auto divers are good. A Seiko SKX007 can be had for about $150. Most of the Seiko 5 series are under $200. An Orient Mako can be had for about $100 even. All of those a great watches for the money with proven automatic movements.

I think you meant to say that the Seiko 5 can be acquired for under $100.

$77 on Amazon.

I got my g-shock 4 years ago before I went to basic training. Right now its on its second deployment and still going strong. I have the solar data memory one with cloth band because i dont like the rubber ones. Its been smashed on a lot and is considerably scratched and dinged but still works great.

i have two gshocks, my 7900 is perfect for me, until i can i afford an omega planet ocean that is;)

I'm running a Marathon JSAR. Amazing watch, a little on the pricey side but is well worth the money IMO. Its a beast.

If you go to watchuseek and browse the forums there's a lot of information and pictures to help you choose.

That's where I started and now I have a Mako on a NATO and a solar 6900 series G-Shock and would recommend them both as inexpensive watches. The Mako with strap cost me about $120 (strap was $20 shipped, so $100 for the watch on a bracelet) and the G-Shock was $65 for reference.
