I've dealt with several really good custom leather guys on BladeForums, definitely some better than others and some with definitely better business practices than others, but... Rick Lowe... I can't say enough! I met him through the Fiddleback forum as one of Andy's two official sheath makers years ago. His designs have true style, charisma, they add to the tool within. Quite often I send the knife to Rick, even though he has the pattern, because I want him to look at the knife, feel the knife, and make the perfect sheath for it. His leather never needs to be wet formed to fit the knife, he bends it with some amazing ability. His leather is also much lighter and less bulky than many, this works well when in the woods. I know there are quite a few really great leather benders out there, and they all have their own style and character, but Rick never ceases to amaze me! He's having fun right now with a handful of Busse's I sent in. You can find him under the id "Rick Lowe".
