Good ride home

Jennifer so true with the kids in school. I think my wife was in shock for a few days. I know she let a few tears fall too.
Any Case knife is always welcome addition to the collection and that is a fine choice.

Glad you had a good day Jennifer! Looks like you made good use of your free time. The age your children are now will be remembered as the greatest time in your life, a time you will pine to re-visit - years from now. As much as I enjoyed those times, a little free time was always welcomed and a trip to the knife dealer nearly always resulted in a good day. Hope you have many more and I am glad to see you purchased a nice Case knife. ;):D

Good story. Mine 2 boys are 13 & 11 years old. I'm actually sitting here touching up the edge on my oldest boy's Case Chestnut Bone CV Sodbuster.

Oooh if I was to refer to the the wife as the Frau...I betting bad things would happen to me. You know what let me try it out right quick hehe

I got lucky. She wasn't familiar with the term :p

LOL. I figure "the Frau" is better than SHMBO ("She Who Must Be Obeyed").

It's always nice to be able to knife talk with someone in a shop! Unfortunately there is not a shop within about 2 hours of my home, so that is why I spend so much time here!
Anyways nice choice, I like the cv best in case knives! Hope you enjoyed your time away:)

In the meantime, here's some CASE Chestnut and Amber Bone to help concentrate the mind on your next day-out :D:cool::cool: Amber Bone ages well. Regards, W

Thanks for all the positive comments. It's been fun to read them all and hear some of your stories too. Now, off to treasure time with the little ones. I missed them yesterday. Oh yeah, and to try out the new knife! :)

Willgoy - hope mine age as well as yours!

Great read Jennifer, my three girls are all-grown up now, but I can still remember that feeling! :D

That's a very nice-looking knife you picked up, I wish we still had stores like that here!

Great story, great knife, I have a friend of mine who had a kiosk in the mall where he sold knives, everything from cheap $5 has knives and collectable Chinese junk to some really nice Benchmades and modern traditionals.

When we went to the mall the wife would go shopping and I'd pull up a chair and me and Rich, (The guy who owned the business) would sit and talk knives for hours. :)

I used to love talking to people who would stop by that knew about knives, try to educate the ones who didn't but wanted to learn and laugh at the ones who thought they did and wouldn't listen when you tried to reach them. :)

Thanks for the story.

Thanks. There are fewer and fewer stores here. Visiting while I can!

That's how I'd like to hang out at the mall! Thanks for sharing.

Jennifer ,enjoy the times ! Nice thread. I have a little funny thing to add, last night....We are down to 3 of 6 kittens we took in the Mom & pack, who decided to b birthed & live behind my barn.
Anyhow somehow they now are in the barn & a carpenter built a custom pen for them too,go figure.
So wifey is in charge of kitten pics & finding homes.
Back to last night,we had a woman & her son there & I bet he's about 5. The Momma cat decides it is time to relieve herself in the litter box. Keep in mind,my wife has slowly been brainwashed to feeding anything & everything around here,as if you're going to the electric chair,no one minds it that much.
Anyhow so now the boy gets a flowing aroma shot of the momma cat's fresh deposit into the litter box. The boy proceeds to tell me a 5 minute story about his 'big' cat at home , the whole while pinching his nose with his right hand !! :) LOL. It really made my night, you had to be there.

Anyways not a hijack ,but Jennifer don't hold back on us ,when you find time ,pictures of your recent purchases are always great ,kids too.

Knife content : Jennifer ,when we briefly met the other night I had no idea of your credentials , please on your next visit I will extend the proper discount at check out

Thanks so much. Loved the story and appreciate you sharing. I carried a little gem on my errands yesterday. You'd be familiar with it! ;). Am certainly enjoying it and will post more pics soon. I'm sure I'll see your check out again soon!
Thanks. You are a class act!

Everyone should have at list one stockman , this is a must have. I love the rounded pattern much more than the square one, for me it is comfortable in the pocket. The knife you picked is a great looker and a worker as well. Have fun enjoy the knife and your quality time with yourself :)

Let me put that in better perspective.
In the following clip, replace "kid that's never played baseball" with "knife knut who doesn't have a stockman."

I agree. I had a nice Boker my father-in-law brought back from a trip to Germany, and I loved it. Sometime after our move last year it disappeared. Forgot how much I missed it until yesterday when I held that Case.

I'm still smiling over that.
