Good Slicing Folder

I know Gary buys top notch knives, so I think that says a lot about Spyderco's quality. Great pics as usual.

Thanks, and yep, I do try to keep up with the better knives around,
costly thing to be sure! :)

The Spyderco Military works very well for a stock knife (I have a CPM D2 version) as a big, good cutting knife. Also consider an Endura, and have Tom Krein regrind it to full flat grind. My ZDP Endura was reground to a full flat grind with a splinter picker tip (I told Tom I wanted it to have a similar blade profile to the Military) with a .010" edge and it is a tremendous cutter, even better than my Military. The blade isn't as robust as the Military, but the thinner stock on the Endura helps it to have better cutting ability than the Military, and it is a screw construction lock back. My best overall cutter is probably my Caly Jr. ZDP reground to .005" edge thickness, but it is pinned so that rules it out for you.
