Good Small Dagger

I must say, I really like the looks of that ZT dagger. It might be worth it to me. Price is about $120. The Sog mini pentagon that the Stinger are a no go b/c I really want more of a guard so I can use a hammer grip w/o thumb cap in case I want to :jerkit:

Yep. I did a review on my ZT 0150 a good half-year ago. Everyone who bought it loved it--I still have mine and love it. S30V Steel, great sheath carry-ability options, G-10 scales, with jimping on the full tang. PVD coated as well.

So the tip is holding up?

I have also looked at the "S&W" boot knives, and the SOG and the Fallkniven and either the blade is too long, or the handle too short or there is no guard. The ZT might get it by default...

found a couple DQ knives, an old small Camillus quick draw and old colt, both w/ 3.5" blades and 4" handles. Don't know if I can really get them.

Are "colt" knives worth a damn?

It has a loop on the sheath which allows it to be slipped on a belt.

It can be carried horizontal or verticle, however the loops on the sheath are pretty small - wont fit my belt. It also comes with some extra velcro straps to help out with the carry options.

IMO the Sting was the most uncomfortable knife to hold I've ever tried to use. I was afraid that if I actually stabbed anything with any force my hand would slip down the handle and slice my fingers. Well made knife, but didn't fit my hands at all. Recommend try and hold one before you buy.

Possibly a Gerber Mark 1 if you can find one, much smaller then the Mark II.

The Guardian is the biggest waste of money...

That's a shame. I have one of the original Gerber Guardians and always thought it was a great little knife. Decent steel, good ergos, and a nice sheath.

To bad they messed up a classic. If you can find one of these older models at your price point, I think it would make an excellent choice.
