I bought some buffalo horn scales from an online supplier a while ago. I don't remember who it was. I left the scales in a box for a few months before I decided to use them. By that time, they had warped. I didn't know how to correct the warping, so I ended up making a stick tang guard with some of it, and throwing the rest away. This has been my only experience with buffalo horn.
I loved how it buffed up.
Is there a way to keep it from warping while on the shelf? Is there lower vs. higher quality? Best place to buy it?
Thanks,
Andy
