Good stove for car camping/basecamp?

Coleman is kinda the standard for this type of camping in NA. That said, I'm all hot and bothered about Partner Steel stoves:

About twice the price of Coleman, but about 10 times more stove. They're pretty damn tough stoves. I know off road enthusiasts seem to love them and I've seen pictures of people in the UK with them so perhaps you could get one in Germany somehow .

get a hibachi if you want traditional briquets or any propane powered grill will
fit the bill for driveup camping when hiking i lean toward my Jetboil and tranghi
alcohol stove hope this helps

I'm thinking of getting one.

I went on vacation out west last august. Took this single burner that had been stashed in my garage for twenty years. Just had to be careful and not knock the pan off it. Propane is handy.

I have this one. Camp Chef Weekender. It's sweet. I do almost all of my camp cooking on it, other than the BBQ grilling. It's a pretty large and heavy grill though. Probably a bit much for the odd picnic or car camping trip.

I used the ubiquitous green Coleman 425 naptha stove for decades. They get two thumbs up for heat output, reliability, and ease of use.
