Good Stuff that Happened Today

I wanted to start a thread about Good things that happen. I received my Giant JRE Strop today and I went canoeing down the little Manatee River with all 3 of my sons. It's tricky to get together now that they're big.
 
Totally flat, we did hit a rope swing which is made more exciting by the presence of gators in the river.
 
That is really cool man! I have been wanting to get a JRE strop. It will help me maintain my two bad *ss Hortons!

Another good thing that happened today was my cousin's MRI coming up clean from any signs of cancer! Life is good man. He made a speech at the Relay for Life cancer fundraiser. It can be seen at:

He is still working on physical parts of his recovery. But overall he is doing really well. They are looking into growth hormones to help him develop, but are unsure because of the potential those hormones have to increase the growth of any cancer cells. But, all in all I can say his recovery is along the lines of a miracle. Nice idea on this thread squishware.

I am glad he is getting better
his speech was excellent as well.
give him a High Five from me next time you talk to him.
maybe one day I can meet him if we go fishing.
 
Awesome news Mike, and Squish it is always nice to get together with family.



My news pals by comparison to Mikes, but my wife went back into work today for half a day. Considering she could only sit for a max of a minute on Friday, this is good news for her health and sanity.

Sounds like Squish Had a great time with his boys:thumbup:, We are putting the canoe for Bears first time on the water this weekend. Can't wait.

This is a great thead we need to hear more good things.
 
I'll pass on all the good words to my cousin and his family. They will all appreciate the support everyone in Jeremy's forum dishes out with such a gracious nature.

Squish, does the Manatee River have actual Manatees in it? I apologize for my ignorance, but I know little about it. All I know is that they are massive and somewhat mesmerizing creatures.

Good luck with the bear hunting ShadowKnight. Along with dogs and owls, bear are my most beloved animal. I am sure you will make good use of the one you take. Enjoy the excitement and beauty of the moment. Hopefully you can use a Horton to skin it!
 
I have seen Manatees in the Manatee river, This was my first time in the Little Manatee river, so I'm not sure. Saw two smallish gators though.
 
Great stuff everyone :) I wish THE news on TV was more like this. Would make fore much happier viewers and would help people to feel better about walking out of the door in the mornin' :)

Thank you, but Bear is my sons name and we are taking him out on the water for the first time.:thumbup: Sorry for not being clear I tend to think faster than I type.:o

Yea, something good happened today.......we are celebrating my mothers birthday.
