Good Survival Schools / Training?

I'm looking to gain some first-hand survival skills, and while I can go out and read all about it, I'd like to have some training from some experts.
Do you guys know of any well known survival training schools/classes?
 
what region are you in? there are several different teachers/schools around the US based on what region you are in, as well as many members that you can get together with and learn from...
 
I'm from Atlanta, GA.
I am very focused on survival skills and wish I had more people to talk to in person/meet up with around here to share skills, shoot the shi*, etc.
It seems the majority of my friends could care less about being prepared...
 
Another good school is Cody Lundin's school Aboriginal Living Skills School at alssadventures.com. He gives a good mix of modern and primitive techniques.
 
From time to time there is a slingshot thread on here and sometimes, some people say that they are not powerful enough to hunt with. I always try to correct that sort of ignorance. Looks like that fellow has it down. 8-)
