good torx set?

What do you mean by "twist" I thought that's what a screwdriver did  Don't mean to be a pain, just still trying to get the lingo down.

Just like it sounds, a cheap bit set will twist, bend or break under force usually because it has a poor heat treatment.

It is common for torx drivers to fail by "twisting".

Roll a newspaper into a cylindrical rod, grab the ends, and twist the ends in opposite directions. Look at the middle. That is what some torx drivers do when they plastically deform.

Just picked up a Husky 8in1 set at Lowe's yesterday; price was $7 or so.

Finally was able to remove a pocket clip that defied several other sets, including the Blue Box. Thought I was going to have to drill it out or something because my previous attempts had nearly stripped the head. With just a little force the Husky dug in and easily unscrewed it.

i'm looking for a good set also, 1 quick question, how do i go about identifying what size torx i have on my folders!!! have a rat model 1 folder and a crkt m16-13kz, cause some bit sets are in the larger end and some smaller!!
thanks

Both Lowe's and Home Depot have a $5 torx set that will do the job just fine. If this doesn't work, you can then try the more expensive brands.

+1

I like the Lowe's one the best. It is $5.98 located in the tool area. COBALT is the brand. It is a nice small self contained package that has 8 TORX bits kept in the handle.

WIHA is probably the best of course....... I have them also; but they are pricey. ;)

The Lowes one has worked just fine for me.
Hope this helps

I like Wiha and I also have a set from Craftsman that have held up as well.
