Good USA made fighter knife?

So I guess I am on a toss up on the Esee 4 or Benchmade nimravus cub? Any suggestions?

Here are some of my fav's
For Value:
Ka-Bar USMC
Cold Steel OSS/OSI
Mid-Range
SOG tech bowie
Cold Steel OSS/OSI/ODA in San Mai 3
High end
Spyderco Warior and of course the Al Mar warior, but those are waaaaaay harder to find
Tops Tom Brown Tracker
Mercworx Sniper(probably my favorite knife of all time)

Ok so I found a BM Snody Resistor that looks sick! Would that be a bad choice? Or a BM Griptilian fixed blade if I can find some of these on ebay?

My vote is for the bark river bravo 1. Just got one and it became an instant favorite. Honestly, I don't thing it really matters what you use, if you stab someone with a 3+ in knife a dozen times, it will do it. Bravo is good because it is thick and sturdy, yet light and concealable. Lots of good choices here. If money is an option though, definatly go with the esee 4.

The Zero Tolerance 150 boot dagger is exactly what you asking for

Good , USA made , easily concealable pure "fighting" blade , and you can get it for under 100$

How about a Becker BK-11?

I like the BK-11 as well as anyone - wearing one on my neck right now - but a fighter knife? Hrm... It's a great food knife, an outstanding deer cleaning knife, a wonderful need-a-knife-for-this-task-right-here knife. Fighting knife though?

Not so sure about that one.

I guess not purely fighting but kinda on the self defense scale.

I think you should check out some of the fighters by custom maker John Greco. His MST and Whisper models are fighters/sharpened prybars and are a heck of a value for the money. He sells them direct and I know he used to sell them on eBay for pretty low starting bids. I've also seen them in the Exchange on occasion.

The only downside is that they are really true fighters and they are only available in carbon steel (I think).

2nd on the Whisper.I have the Midnight Whisper and thinking about picking up another.

I'd still prefer the Nimravus Cub above either of those. The Resistor looks nice, but the Cub costs less and would make a better defensive knife in my opinion. The Griptilian fixed is more of a small camp knife to me.

If you can find one, the Scrapyard Test Team Regulator has a good balance as a fighter, mostly due to the full flat grind.
The later production version has a sabergrind and is much more blade heavy, which would be better suited for choppers.
(Of course the bowie shape of the blade doesn't help with that,)

Well, you are correct, but it seems that there are some that ask for a fighter that are really asking for something else. The Becker can fill several roles and can certainly be used in a defensive situation. After all, the OP then said:

So, I just offered the Becker up as a good multi-purpose alternative. YMMV.

Fair enough - I really like my BK-11 lots and you could do worse than to buy one. I guess they work great for anti-deer self-defense, if nothing else. :D
