Hey everyone, I am new to this forum and also new to knives for the most part. I have tried to search but I am not sure If I am doing it right. I just had a question. Does anyone know of some good websites to start looking for knives in? I have a few, but I am looking to find some affordable knives to start and some sites have these knives at really good prices (well below retail) I just can't find them.

Thanks for any help, and sorry if I posted this in the wrong area.

Try ebay mate.
Lots of knives on Ebay are listed by dealers and knife outlets.
Have a look at their online store, You can usually save a lot of money if you are patient and informed.

Welcome to BF. I hope you end up enjoying this place at least as much as I do.

In an effort to keep the discussion forums focused on discussion of knives rather than the commercial aspects of buying and selling, I moved your post to the Good, Bad and Ugly area of the exchange forums which is more suited to discussions of buying and selling.

What about right here in the forums exchange area? Many members sell brand new, in the box pieces below retail, and you'll be supporting the forums as well. I personally haven't purchased a new knife from a "retail" web site in a long time, but have had many excellent transactions with the members here.

Here are two that I didn't notice on the list yet. Both have a great selection of quality products, usually well below m.s.r.p.

The folks at Smoky Mountain Knife Works have a huge selection, great customer service, and often the lowest prices. When browsing their catalog though, you have to wade through a lot of cheap Chinese junk. But if you're looking for a great deal on an inexpensive knife, they're hard to beat. Victorinox, Wenger, Opinel, Buck...

Not usually the lowest prices, but A.G. Russell sells knives you won't find anywhere else:

Have any idea what sort of knife or what brand you're interested in?
