Good week or bad week. Depending on your view

So now as I jump back into knife collecting this year, after about a ten year hiatus, I see that I am falling back into it hard and heavy.

I am a collector of many things, and while it's hard to focus on multiple hobbies all at once (watch collecting, photography, cars and gun collecting) I have found that running short rotations in my buying cycles seems to help. I tend not to buy into each hobby all at once, but rather some from this hobby this week, some from another next week and soon.

And it helps that I have a very understanding wife. Without that, I could be in deep trouble.

So here is my list of acquisitions beginning only about 5 days ago until my last order this morning. Some have arrived, the rest should be here no later than Friday:

(none are my images, i will be shooting them all this weekend)

I think I did good for selecting a diverse range across the board. Something different in each knife. Some that will be more for show, some that will be EDC, and if I grab the William Henry I am looking at... even a safe queen. :D

Just wanted to share my excitement with like-minded folks. The wife still doesn't understand why I'm so giddy.... ;)

GREAT LOOKING KNIVES :D

I know what you mean on collectiing (Bike parts, diecast cars, knives) and I agree on having an understanding significant other, :D I just ordered 5 new knives as well 3 Kabars and 2 bokers. :D

I would deffinetly like to know how you like the MF1, I am considering getting one.

You spent more money in the past few days than I have in...months, not counting college tuition when I was still in undergrad.

Nice acquisitions indeed. Since you're on a spree, I'd suggest this:

I thought my recent spending spree was bad. You just made me feel a little better.

Congrats on some great knives:D:D

OH MY GIDDY AUNT! YOU JUST DROPPED SOME SERIOUS

Thanks. Sounds like you've had a fun week as well! Hope to see pics of your new babies!

I am in total love with the MF1, it arrived a few days ago. It is thick, rugged and seems as indestructable as ant folding knife could be. Funny thing is that they consider this their medium use knife, and it is insane.

It has a very solid action. They do not advertise it at all, but there is enough of a nub on the backside of the blase to consider it a flipper. It isn't assisted at all, so it takes some getting use dto it, but once down, you can get it to flip open fairly easily.

It has two interesting divots carved into the grip panels, these are placed so that you can flip from standard to backwards grip instantly, it actually aids you in flipping the knife around in your hand!

It is a true combat knife. It's not meant to look "pretty" (although that in itself makes it attractive to me honestly...), and will be my go to when I need a knife that can take ultimate abuse. I wear jeans 99% of the time, so the extreme weight doesn't faze me in the slightest.

There better be some pictures of the Tritium and CF Microtech.

You betcha, there will be plenty!

I'd LOVE more info on that knife, I've never seen it before!!!

...not to mention a very forgiving wallet

Holy noodles those are some nice knives, but expensive, jefe! :p

You'd think that, but I am a wise shopper. I found the best possible deals on everything. On the Kershaw I bought a blem from kershawguy and paid what... $80 I think? Awesome dude, awesome product.

And the money I saved on the Microtech from shopping around literally paid for the Mcusta making it free!

Good week for you.... bad week for your wallet...

but if i had the cash I'd buy the toys too... hard part is deciding which toys to buy...

Nice additions. No where near as good as yours, but last night I managed to get my RAM I've wanted for a while as well as a CONDOR machete. I have plans to also get a SOG fixed blade, Pentagon Elite II, and SOG multi tool (annual bonus plus 50% off MSRP!!). I also have deals available on Kershaw and Spydero through my work, so once a few heavy bills are paid I may get a few other blades as well.

jskelton thats a pretty sweet list you've got there, makes me feel better about the few hundred I've spent in the last 5 days for sure! BTW I'm just curious do you by chance work in television?

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on the RAM. They look great. Congrats!

Thanks. Yes, that's me.

Cool man. You've cost me quite a bit of money over the past few years, but I've gotten some nice stuff for my wrist because of it :D Although I have to say, I've seen some of the knives you've had on there, and even though you stated they were given to you by someone else...they seemed like some cheap china stuff. Because of that I assumed you weren't really into knives the way you said you were. I can see above I was wrong :o Welcome to the forum!
