So now as I jump back into knife collecting this year, after about a ten year hiatus, I see that I am falling back into it hard and heavy.
I am a collector of many things, and while it's hard to focus on multiple hobbies all at once (watch collecting, photography, cars and gun collecting) I have found that running short rotations in my buying cycles seems to help. I tend not to buy into each hobby all at once, but rather some from this hobby this week, some from another next week and soon.
And it helps that I have a very understanding wife. Without that, I could be in deep trouble.
So here is my list of acquisitions beginning only about 5 days ago until my last order this morning. Some have arrived, the rest should be here no later than Friday:
(none are my images, i will be shooting them all this weekend)
Kershaw Junkyard Dog Titanium SG2
Extrema Ratio BF-3 Dark Talon
Extrema Ratio MF1 (boy do I LOVE this knife)
Microtech Scarab Limited Edition carbon fiber and Tritium
Zero Tolerance 0350
Chris Reeve Small Sebenza Crosshairs
Chris Reeve Large Sebenza with double Pearl and Damascus blade
Mcusta Katana
I think I did good for selecting a diverse range across the board. Something different in each knife. Some that will be more for show, some that will be EDC, and if I grab the William Henry I am looking at... even a safe queen.
Just wanted to share my excitement with like-minded folks. The wife still doesn't understand why I'm so giddy....
