Good week or bad week. Depending on your view

Cool man. You've cost me quite a bit of money over the past few years, but I've gotten some nice stuff for my wrist because of it :D Although I have to say, I've seen some of the knives you've had on there, and even though you stated they were given to you by someone else...they seemed like some cheap china stuff. Because of that I assumed you weren't really into knives the way you said you were. I can see above I was wrong :o Welcome to the forum!

Nathan

LOL, well until recently I would use any knife that a crewmember standing by would hand me. But now the ones I have used on my shows over the last 5 or 6 months have been Cold Steel (Triple Action), Kershaw (Rainbow Leek), Pro Tech (Harkins ATAC and Godfather Tuxedo) and my custom Brian Tighe.

My Tighe Coon flipper is my baby though. Here's a coupla shots I took of her:

I'd LOVE more info on that knife, I've never seen it before!!!

It's a custom knife by a guy named Burger in South Africa. It uses a unique opening feature similar to a flipper, non assisted, but without a flipping tang. Instead, the top is a little jimped and you just use a thumb or index finger to roll the knife open. Boker makes a non-custom version now. The real version uses n690co steel (or damascus), dual titanium liners (the previous ones just had a single liner) and a liner lock. Standard scales are of g10, but you can get carbon fiber as well as exotic woods and bones. They come in large or small versions. The large (LEXK) runs around 340 bucks.

The website is apparently down right now, but you can bookmark it for future reference. http://www.swordcane.com/

Quick video of how the knife opens; this one is the Boker production version.

sometime back Burger had a video of the factory in s. africa. i was impressed & sent an e-mail. while i really liked the look of their products the high cost of shippage deterred me. subsequently i've learned the expensive postage is a must due to the amount of theft.

I believe he's updating the website, so that's why it may be down. I contacted him about a price quote for the LEXK a few weeks ago. This was when I learned about the new updated to the LEXK (dual liners). Maybe he's updating the website to reflect the changes.

jskelton , great cache of knives , I think you convinced me to get the ER MF1

This is a very good week :D

Very nice shopping list indeed. I must says these are fine edges. :D

The Microtech Scarab is making me drool... I'm considering busting my budget for this one and I'm still waiting for my Izula.

Love that Damacus on the large Sebenza

By the way welcome back :)

I received mines today (A day earlier) The Boker Magnum Damascus Lady is TINY, but a good knife for work, non threatening. lol will take a pic and try to post it today. I think I got used to having a knife with the smallest blade 3 1/2

Wow, you got back into the hobby with turbos on and with obviously fine choices in knives. Welcome back to the madness. :D

I h8 you. The Tighe Coon is my all time favorite knife.

Yes. Well, all except for the Microtech. Unfortunately in MN we can OWN autos, but we are not allowed to CARRY them :(

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.

I sit here anxiously awaiting the last 3 deliveries. The 2 Sebenzas and the Microtech are listed in my tracking as "out for delivery", so it's only a matter of minutes or maybe an hour at most before they arrive.
