Good Wood's Watch?

As most of the others have said, a decent compass is far better than a built in watch based one.

I use a Suunto compass and a couple of watches, one very cheap one moderately dear.
The cheapo is a lowly Timex Explorer,it's light, tough has 24 hr clock, calendar etc and above all it lights up at a press of the winder.VERY useful in dark situations!

The other alternative I use is a Seiko Kinetic, this too is tough but rather heavy due to the magnets BUT no worries about battery failure as the kinetic clock is not dependent on them.
