Got another note from Goose.The bruising got worse, Doc told him it would.
Goose said he would be back on the forum next week.

I am assuming that Goose just received what is known as an ICD (Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator).

I asked My Cardio Surgeon one question. "I have damaged machinery (heart), what is my life expectancy? His reply, "Well 90% of fatal heart attacks are the result of the heart going into fibrillation and therefore it cannot pump blood. The cure for that is a defibrillator like the ones that are now carried in Aid Cars and located in many public places. You already have one and it doesn't have to wait for the Aid Car or someone to read the instructions. Makes you about 90% bullet-proof."

So, Goose, if you have a heart attack and the Medics come running up with a little suitcase defibrillator and its pads, you will be alive to say "No Thanks, I brought my own and its done its job."

Plus, it monitors and records every heartbeat and other activity in your heart, which on about a three month basis is read by your Doctor for further monitoring. So you have a Doctor in there too. Ain't science grand?

You are so much more well now---the rest will come when the bruising goes away.

Heh, Pusser's rum will go with anything, David! I think the alcohol helps to dissolve the cholesterol. :p

Just as I was posting about Pusser's rum, I just knew that I would get 334Dave's attention. Now how did I know that? ;)

I'm back.
Plan on checking in now and then even though my Buck accumulation has slowed. Got some RAT, Gerber, and TOPS knives lately. Oh, and I did get a small BUCK branded diamond stone and I have stayed at a Holiday Inn ;)

Thanks to all so much for the kind words.

And yep, I got the Implantable Cardioverter Defribillator (ICD). Although I'm wondering if it was a scheme by my wife to get a GPS installed in me :eek::p
